Good news--another hour has just been added to every 24-hour day. (Don't ask us how. We have powers.) How do you use those extra sixty minutes?
START
Well, that's easy: sleeping. I've been so tired lately that sleep is what I most crave. However, let's pretend that's not the case, so I can write more than a one-word answer.
What I would NOT do is watch television or play games on my computer or tablet.
Most likely I'd spend the time doing a combination of things that I already do. I'd read books, read blogs, write on my own blog. All of these provide a sense of rest and restoration that goes beyond the physical. I've found that rest for my soul is important for my well-being.
I took a long time to learn that taking time to care for myself is not selfish. I can't nurture anyone else if I'm empty. That's not to say that I should be spending all day, every day, playing. But it's important to build some re-creation time into every day. I think that's a good way to spend my extra hour.
How would you spend yours?

Hmmm... How would I spend my extra hour? I think I'd go get an ice cream treat then sit & relax while I ate it. Maybe I'd read or just people watch - both are relaxing. Cool prompt.
ReplyDeleteSleeping is nice! ;) But I'm probably spend it working on writing/photography or reading. This I love to do but don't always find time to work on throughout the week!
ReplyDeleteAn extra hour?? I would love to say sleeping, but we know that would not be the case...
ReplyDeleteI would probably use it reading a good book or blogging / reading other blogs
