We're a meat-and-potatoes family, but some days I'm just too busy or too tired to peel and cut up fresh potatoes. On these days I turn to convenience foods, but I still want my family to have good food. McCain frozen potatoes fit the bill. They're all natural and convenient, and my family loves them.
When I took my coupons to the store to get samples for review, I wanted to choose something classic and something a little different. For the "a little different" product, I chose McCain Sweet & Spicy Sweet Potato Fries.
I tasted the sweetness followed by a mild afterburn of jalapeno pepper. I love that kind of sweet/spicy blend, but my family thought it would go better with something milder than Buffalo-style chicken. The combination did give me a chance to discover that these fries are yummy not only alone but also dipped in creamy blue cheese dip.
For my "classic" product, I chose Crinkle Cut fries. These take longer to bake than the shoestring-cut fries. We enjoyed them with pepper and egg sandwiches. The sandwiches were downright ugly (but yummy), so instead of that photo, I'll show you the package and nutrition information. I was surprised to see so little fat per serving.
Just one more thing:

sweet and spicy sounds great for the boys... but i am not a fan of spicy things...
