Golden Blossom Honey (Review)

This is the honey I remember from my younger years!  Over time I slipped into buying store brands.  I'm so glad that the Golden Blossom Honey people contacted me with an opportunity to try their product again.  I received a sample (at no cost to me) which my family and I enjoyed in a few different ways.

First I drizzled Golden Blossom Honey on french toast.  I liked that it's thicker than maple syrup, and the taste was just delicious.

Next I added a little Golden Blossom Honey to a cracker with peanut butter.  Yum.

Finally, we put it to the real test:  straight up, side by side with the store brand.  The store brand was sweet and okay, but the Golden Blossom Honey was, hands down, the winner.  The flavor was richer, more complex ... more than just sweetness.

Honey is versatile, too:  just see the wide variety of recipes on the website.  I haven't tried this, but I hope to try it soon:

2 (12 ounce) packages semisweet chocolate chips
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Butter a 9-inch square pan.

Place chocolate chips, condensed milk and honey in a medium saucepan. Heat over a very low heat, stirring constantly, just until chips are melted. Remove from heat immediately and stir in walnuts. Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate. Once chilled cut into squares.
