Thanks to the folks at Rigoni di Asiago, I had the opportunity to try two more of their products (at no cost to me). This is the same company that makes yummy Nocciolata spread (see my review). This time I tasted Fiordifrutta organic fruit spreads.
The samples I received were Apricot and Raspberry, and I'd be hard pressed to choose a favorite between them. Both are soft, smooth, and easy to spread--more like a thick puree than a jam. The Raspberry flavor is intense and bright. Apricot tastes just like a dried apricot, but with a smooth texture. Other spreads can be overly sweet, but I think Fiordifrutta tastes like just fruit. I tasted it straight, on toast, and with peanut butter, and it was outstanding each way. I think the Raspberry, especially, would be fabulous as a cupcake filling, too.
Rigoni di Asiago, the maker of these delicious products, wants to give one lucky reader the chance to win the same products I tried, plus a few extra goodies. The prize pack includes one jar each of Apricot and Raspberry Fiordifrutta, a hat and an apron with the Rigoni di Asiago logo, a booklet, and samples of Fiordifrutta and Nocciolata.
