Friday's Fave Five: February 22

Happy Friday!  I'm glad to say that this week has been calmer than last week was.  Thanks for stopping by for my Friday's Fave Five list. :)
  1. My doctor adjusted one of my medications and I'm feeling a bit better.  I'll take any improvement!
  2. The rewards of freezer cooking:  I thawed a roast, only to find that it had an "off" odor.  I was glad that I had another meal that could go directly from freezer to oven.
  3. My pastor and I had a good, quiet conversation.  It was just what my spirit needed.
  4. Sleeping late:  On Wednesday night I forgot to set my alarm.  On Thursday morning I woke up rested, then looked at the clock to see that I'd slept an hour later than usual.  I wasn't late for anything, so I didn't have that awful "I'm going to be late" panic and frantic attempt to get ready. :)
  5. DH and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary today.  We've had some tumultuous circumstances, but he has stood by me through it all.  A lesser man might have walked away and left me alone with my illnesses.
What were the highlights of your week?

  1. Happy Anniversary!! i hope you something very special planned!! Yay for your quiet talk with your pastor.....I always feel the same way about my pastor's wife...we rarely get together but when we do it is so special! Yay for being able to sleep in!!! I was off all week for Winter Recess so i did a little of that myself :) back to the classroom on MOnday though....

  2. So excited to be reading this today!!!
so glad for a great week... and Happy Anniversary!!!!

  3. Happy Anniversary to you and your husband! Hope you have a very special celebration.

Nice to have that extra rest - you must have needed it.

    Happy weekend!

  4. Happy anniversary! What an awesome man -- a real blessing.

Glad to hear this week was easier than last. And you must have a gem of a pastor. Not all have a heart for listening and counseling. That's great.

Love those freezer meals at my house, too. Have a great week ahead, Melissa.

  5. A steadfast and loving husband is one of the greatest blessings in the world. God has been good to you.

  6. Happy Anniversary to both of you. It sounds like you both have something to celebrate in one another.

  7. Happy Anniversary! Nice to have a good man beside you through thick and thin.
I love freezer meals. Last night was a convenient one to pull from and was ready in 1/2 an hour. Convenient especially when you're not feeling well.

  8. I'm glad you are feeling a bit better.

I haven't ever done many freezer meals. Our freezer is fairly small, but glad you had another one!

I slept late today and boy I have felt horrible all day long. I don't know why!

Happy anniversary to you and your hubby!! Hope you guys had a great one!

  9. Happy Anniversary! You have a good man in your hubby and you guys deserve a great celebration!

I'm not much of a sleeper inner, but when I need it it's always nice to be able to those extra minutes without the feeling of running late.

  10. Oh I'm a late sleeper too--as often as I can be.
Happy Anniversary to you and your husband!
