Learning About Stone, Sand, and Gravel

I'd guess that most of us don't think about sand, stone, and gravel on a daily basis.  (If you're the parent of a young boy, you might be an exception.)  Whichever side of that line you fall on, you might be interested to know that the National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association has put together an educational microsite with features like these:

Because the age and origin of the earth can be controversial subjects, I suggest that parents preview the materials before sharing with children.  Even if you choose to skip over some parts, Foundation 4 The Future contains plenty of useful information.

If you look into it, let me know what you think!

Disclosure:  I have received no compensation in any form for sharing this information with you.  I just think it's a useful resource.
