Saving with Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness

I am a big fan of saving money on health and wellness products, as long as it doesn't require sacrificing quality.  We spend enough on health care expenses (especially this year!) without paying more than necessary.  I know that there are a few exceptions:  we've tried some prescription meds and OTC health products that just didn't measure up to the brand name.  But in general, as long as the products come from a quality source, I've been very happy with them.

That brings me to the topic of this message:  Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products.  When a certain brand-name allergy medication became available in a Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products equivalent, I was very happy.  I had been paying quite a bit, since my "seasonal" allergies are nearly year-round.  At the first opportunity, I purchased a package of Wal-Itin 24 Hour Allergy Tablets.  Not only did I save money in comparison to the brand name product, but I saved even more because I was able to purchase a value-size package.  It worked just as well as the brand name product.

How do you know if a store brand is going to be trustworthy?  Well, in the case of Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products, I am confident because I know that these products are Walgreens pharmacist recommended, most contain the same active ingredients as national brands, and they carry a 100% satisfaction guarantee.  (Click on any of the above links--except those under the piggy bank image--to learn more.)

If you shop at Walgreens, too, be sure to check out the bloggers who are hosting giveaways for Walgreens gift cards!  I looked at the list of bloggers and noticed at least a few familiar names.  And to learn more about the way that Walgreens is bringing preventative wellness services to local communities through the purchase of Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products, visit the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™ page.

  1. Thanks for the heads up, next time I need some allergy meds I will try Walgreen brand.

My allergies aren't as bad anymore, I think because of no carpet in the house.

  2. I would be interested in the triple antibiotic ointment; we use a TON of the name brand stuff.

  3. i used the walgreens brand prenatal when i was pregnant :)
of course, i checked with my dr. first... and he gave me the okay to switch
