I've shared the story of how I met my husband. That was almost two years ago; I hope that all three of you who were here then will please bear with me. For everyone else--and mostly because I am spending this week taking care of some housekeeping (both literal and figurative) before I start radiation treatments--I am going to do an unapologetic copy-and-paste.
What I realized as I thought about this post was--although I wasn't walking with Christ at the time--everything happened in God's perfect timing. When I was 21 or 25 or 28, the time wasn't right for to meet my husband. I didn't know that at the time, but God did! I still marvel at the knowledge that He was looking out for me, even when I wasn't giving Him a second thought.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
God's ways are mysterious. He has a plan and He knows what He is doing even when we don't quite understand it.
ReplyDeleteAlways His time and always perfect even though at times we don't realize it.
ReplyDeleteHope your treatments will be short and easy!
Blessings
We cannot know God's time table ahead of time. Amazing how God puts us together with a soul mate to love and cherish.
ReplyDeleteI pray for you as your begin treatments. May you come forth victorious in the after math.
God always has a plan... We just have to wait for it to happen to us!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I got to read this! So happy you reposted it for the faith jam! (pst. I'm a computer geek, too!) :) Loved hearing your story, friend!
