I had my consultation with the radiation oncologist last week, and she is recommending a series of treatments that will take between six and seven weeks. Before we can begin, I need one test elsewhere plus two appointments in her office. If the timing works out as we hope it will, I should be able to start by the end of next week.
I know that the schedule will be challenging and these six weeks won't be easy. But I'm looking forward to getting started so that we can get finished!
Now on to the cupcakes!
Our mail carrier mistakenly delivered my neighbor's copy of "Woman's Day" magazine to me. I didn't read it, of course, but how cute are these cupcakes on the cover? (Sorry for the bad photo. Taking a picture of a glossy cover isn't easy.) Lucky for me, the instructions--and a much better photo--for these
Corn-on-the-Cob Cupcakes are on the magazine website.
The yellow and white "kernels" are jelly beans, the "butter" is a fruit chew (like Starburst), and the "pepper" is black sanding sugar.
I've seen those cupcakes before...they are adorable. I think I would be disappointed to eat something sweet when I was craving the savoriness of sweet corn with salt and butter!! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand your desire to get started so you can finish. I pray that God lays out the timing perfectly for you and that you not only finish but are completely healed.
Those are SO cute!
ReplyDeleteHope the timing goes well for you this week. I'd be the same way -- let's get started so we can get done. Praying for you.
Hope all goes well with the scheduling of your treatments.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute cupcakes!
lol at you taking a pic of the cupcakes!!!!
ReplyDeletei am praying that all goes well and this is all in the past
hugs to you
I just received a magazine that decorated cupcakes with jelly beans too but not the Corn-on-the Cob ones--these are so cute but I can't imagine eating all those jelly beans at once.
