Three Little Words

phone
No, not those three little words.

I'm talking about the three little words that no one wants to hear:

You have cancer.

Actually, I think my doctor's exact words were, "Both areas [which were biopsied] tested positive."

She hardly had to say the words.  I knew what was coming when I answered the phone and heard, "Melissa, this is Dr. M...."

I'll need surgery, but I'll be okay.  I'll write more later in the week, after I've had some time to process the information.  At this point, two things are on my mind:  This isn't supposed to happen and Why does everything have to be so hard?

  4. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.

  11. Melissa

HUGS and PRAYERS aplenty from all of us as well!

Our pastor touched on your thoughts last week- we have 4 women fighting breast cancer. He said it's hard to understand but life is hard- God wants you to realize how great heaven is when you get there. And sometimes, God gives you a test, not because YOU need it, but someone else in your life does.

So keep God in your heart and know you will be healed and all will be well!
