Aloha Old London Sweepstakes

Wow, I can't believe it's been almost a year since I reviewed Old London Melba Snacks!  (Feel free to go back and read that review if you like.)  Today I'm writing to tell you about an exciting new sweepstakes from Old London.

How's this for a prize?
Old London will send one lucky winner and a guest on a once-in-a-lifetime vacation to Oahu, Hawaii.
This prize package includes extras like surfing lessons, private cooking lessons, spa services, and a luau experience.  I'm not much of a beach person (mostly because I get sunburned in about three seconds), but those other features sound fabulous to me!  You can enter the Aloha Old London Sweepstakes on Facebook, and be sure to read the official rules, as well.

Old London Bagel Chips
In celebration of the Aloha Old London Sweepstakes, Old London asked what small steps we take to keep ourselves healthy everyday, and how we incorporate healthy, simple foods into our daily routine.

Small steps to stay healthy?  I try to (but often don't) drink plenty of water during the day.  I try to exercise at least four times a week.  And I try to limit my intake of junk foods.  One of my weaknesses is crunchy, salty snacks ... which is why I like Old London snacks as a healthier alternative.

When I'm hungry, I usually reach for whatever is quickest and easiest.  Melba Snacks, with their satisfying crunch and light saltiness, are perfect for that.  I don't generally add toppings, although the Chocolate Pistachio Crunch sounds delicious to me.  (I tried a variation, substituting peanuts for pistachios, and it was yummy.)  If we don't have those on hand (and if I don't stumble upon a chocolate bar first), I'll usually have a banana or a pear.

Also in celebration of the Aloha Old London Sweepstakes, I had a chance to review a few Old London snacks.  I still like the Sea Salt Melba Snacks that I've previously reviewed.  Of the new-to-me products, I preferred the Spicy Cheddar Bagel Chips pictured here.  I'll caution you, though, to have a glass of water at hand when you first taste them.  (I wish I had!)  These bagel chips are very flavorful and crunchy, while still being lower in salt (220 mg per 6-chip serving), calories (60/serving), and fat (3 g/serving) than other brands of bagel chips I've tried.  Have you tried them?
