In spite of that, this week had one clear highlight: My husband and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. In recognition of that, my Friday's Fave Five list today will include five of the many reasons I'm blessed to be married to this wonderful man. Lucky for you it's not Fave Fifty! :)
- He's funny. Not many people can make me laugh until I cry, but he can.
- He understands ... when I'm having a bad day (week, month) and the house is a mess, dinner isn't ready, and I'm wearing sweatpants and an old t-shirt.
- He works hard to take care of our family and our home.
- He loves the Lord.
- He remembers every special occasion, every inside joke, and everything I like. On our anniversary he brought these home:
my husband!
Thanks for stopping by! What have been the best parts of your week?
I'll be praying that the meds work better without causing problems. I like your list about your husband. I have a good man too!
ReplyDeleteYou won the book giveaway at my book blog! I emailed you about it as well. I'll just need you to email your mailing address to me so I can send it.
I'm doing more giveaways!
Happy Anniversary! I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I have lupus and fibromyalgia, so I have a lot of bad days myself. Having an understanding husband is truly a gift.
ReplyDeleteA husband that can make you laugh is truly a gift from the Lord!
ReplyDeleteSorry the meds have not helped as much as you would like, but it takes a lot of time- sometimes a couple of months! At least that has been my husband's experience (he is bipolar and also has clinical depression.)
It's great to see you focusing on your husband's good qualities! Happy 14th and may there be many more.
I love carnations! So pretty. A good husband is a real blessing indeed! Praying the meds do what they are supposed to do for you.

(they burn calories too!)
My husband has many of the same wonderful traits as yours including making me laugh. A girlfriend gave me a bumper sticker once that said "She Who Laughs Lasts." The only way I know to deal with what life throws at me is to find the humor in the situation.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Your husband sounds like a special man.
