Friday's Fave Five: All About Love

Still struggling this week, but it hasn't been quite as bad as last week! As always, I am looking for the blessings in the midst of trial. Thanks for stopping by to read my Friday's Fave Five list. I'm glad you're here! :)

  1. Over the weekend I had time to make some cards, using the pretty pink and brown pattern papers that I mentioned last week.  Before I cleaned up all of the papercrafting supplies, I made a few more cards to add to my stash.  (I try to keep a variety of cards on hand, so I don't have to rush to make a card as each occasion comes up.)  On Monday I'll post pictures of the three cards that I've already sent out.
  2. I didn't chicken out of posting my Christian testimony on Tuesday.  I've been so blessed by the comments I've received!
  3. After missing two weeks because of snow, my Bible study group was able to meet again this week.  It was so good to see everyone again!
  4. On Thursday my husband brought home an early Valentine's Day gift of cookies.  I'd had a stressful day and an all-day migraine, so I especially appreciated his sweet gesture.
  5. DH and I are planning a date this weekend. :)
What have been the highlights of your week?

  1. Glad you have such a thoughtful husband. But sorry you have migraines. Yuck. Have fun on your date this weekend!

One highlight of my week? Getting to hang out more with my husband without having to do housework, laundry, taking care of kids, etc. One more day of it, then heading back home (which will be good too).

  2. Can't wait to see some of your cards. It's so nice to enjoy the process AND have something to hold in your hand when you're done too. Makes me feel so accomplished.

We've been struggling this week too. Have a friend in serious condition in the hospital and found out our dog has cancer and won't be with us much longer. It's been rough. Your testimony was a really encouraging to me the other day when I read it. Thanks for sharing!

Hope you have a good weekend!

  4. So glad you are feeling better this week.

I look forward to seeing your cards. I am always on the lookout for ideas. Although at this point I am more of a collector of ideas than a maker of cards. I like your idea of having cards on hand. someday I will get there.

You have a very sweet and responsive husband.

I am going to click on your testimony link. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  6. Thank you for sharing your testimony! As a mom of a daughter who seems to be drifting away from church, it does my heart good to hear of someone coming BACK!

It sounds like your hubby is a keeper! Hope your date goes very well!

  8. My middle son has migraines sometimes -- they're no fun at all. You're blessed with a thoughtful husband. Enjoy your date!

I've been wanting to get to some card-making. We moved a few months ago and that's kind of the last room to get set up -- I need to work on it some more.

Glad your Bible study was able to reconvene. Good for you for posting your testimony! I did a few years back and still receive comments on it sometimes -- I'm so glad God can use our blogs to shine His light.

  9. Valentine's never comes early in our house after a tragic condition. We wait till the last minute of the day to celebrate. It has gotten easier over the years and last year I even surprised everyone with a little card and chocolate.
Making cards ahead of time is such a good idea. I'll be around to see them on Monday

  14. I hope you enjoyed your date. I love sending cards. It's always such a nice feeling to get real mail. When i was young, I had pen pals, and always looked forward to the mail. I'm sorry you have migraines. I get them, too. I'm so glad for Zomig, so I don't suffer as much. Cookies ~ um, yum! i read your testimony, and thought it was wonderful. I love homeschooling.
