Without a recipe, I chose ingredients that sounded good to me: thin slices of potato, olive oil, fresh garlic, shredded Romano cheese, black pepper.

I started with my usual pizza dough (made with bread flour) and stretched the dough fairly thin. I didn't pre-bake the crust, but with a thicker crust I would. I simply brushed the crust with EV olive oil, then topped it with thinly sliced potato (one small baking potato for a pizza maybe 9" in diameter) and slivered garlic (3 cloves). I brushed all of that with more olive oil and added a sprinkle of black pepper and a handful of shredded Romano cheese. We baked it at 425F until the crust was browned and the potatoes were tender.
My husband and son thought this was just okay. I liked it a lot, especially as I'd been craving carbs! Does it sound like a recipe you would try?

that sounds very interesting. I am not sure if I would try it or not lol
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that looks delicious! I love pizza and potatos, but have never heard of them together.
ReplyDeleteAlso, about the Red Velvet Cookies that I posted on my blog, they stay soft which is what makes them really yummy!

ReplyDeleteI'd try this for sure. It reminds me a bit of perogie pizza, which has potatoes, but also sour cream and bacon. I love that so I'm thinking this would be yummy too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this as I think it would suprise my teens that they like it
