Friday's Fave Five: October 22

I'm not sure why, but this week has flown by! I'm glad it's Friday, and I'm glad you stopped by for Friday's Fave Five.  Here's my list for this week:
  1. My husband's concern for me:  He came home from work last Friday, took one look at the infected rash on my arm, and said, "Get dressed.  We're going to the doctor."  I would have waited another day or so, but he was right.  I needed antibiotics, and the spot is finally looking better.
  2. As my husband was flipping through TV channels, he landed on a foreign-language infomercial.  He muted the sound and started making up a sales pitch to accompany the video.  SO funny.
  3. It's been a(nother) rough week for me.  But one bright spot was a friend who reached out to me in an extremely thoughtful way.  I was so grateful that I almost cried.
  4. We are celebrating my son's birthday this weekend:  Mooseman is turning 13.  And while I'm sure he's responsible for at least a few of my gray hairs, he's a great kid and I'm very happy to be his mom.
  5. These lyrics from MercyMe are a good reminder for me:

I just might bend but I won't break
As long as I can see Your face

    When life won't play along
    And right keeps going wrong
And I can't seem to find my way
I know where I am found
So I won't let it drag me down
    Oh, I'll keep dancing anyway

  8. Oh, how wonderful that your husband was so concerned and ACTED on that concern. He must be a good one! Sorry you had another rough week. Sometimes life gets a hold of us and won’t let go for awhile, but thankfully God did send you the thoughtful friend. He never abandons us. May you have a blessed weekend.
