- I saw my doctor for my annual checkup, and there were no surprises. It also didn't hurt that the nurse pointed out that I've lost eight pounds since my last visit. :) It's all been in the last few weeks, really. For most of the past year I've been losing and re-finding the same five.
- The food pantry ministry at our church is increasingly active. Our congregation has been generous, and, as a result, a number of families have been blessed.
- I stumbled upon the new Mint Oreo Fudge Cremes at the supermarket this week. These are SO good: sort of a cross between an Oreo cookie and a thin mint candy.
- MercyMe. I'm writing this in anticipation of the MercyMe concert we're attending tonight. We've seen them in concert before, and they're always fabulous. I know it'll be a wonderful time of worship. (Postscript: The concert did not disappoint! But one of my favorite moments came just after the show ended. As we were all crowding the aisles to get out of the auditorium, it would have been easy for people to get frustrated: it was a slow process and a late evening. But a neat thing happened. The music over the loudspeakers was "Blessed Be Your Name," and about twenty percent of the crowd spontaneously started singing along. Such a sweet moment.)
- Friday's Fave Five has become one of my favorite parts of the week. It's a blessing to have a reason to look for the best parts of each week, and to read about the other participants' weeks. Thanks to Susanne for hosting!
