On Sunday we had our annual church picnic. My family had the chance to fellowship with some friends and to meet some new people. I shared one of my personal challenges with my friend C, who hugged me and encouraged me and promised to pray. I talked with another friend, A, and we shared our eagerness to see where God is leading each of us. Meanwhile, my husband and our son were chatting with their own friends.
It was such a wonderful time of fellowship--reconnecting with friends and meeting new people. Before we came to this church, I had never been part of a community where people are free to be real and are so supportive of one another. I am so thankful to God for bringing all of us together.

The one thing I miss, since we now travel on the road for work, is the connection with a church family. I suppose that is why I connect with others online. :)

Oh, praise God! We are so blessed by our church families! They are like no other. :)
Church family has been such a huge blessing for us, too. We moved to our current location 8 years ago and it took us a long time to feel like our new church was HOME. It still isn't quite what I think it could be, but we've finally realized that WE need to put in what we hope to get out, so it's been a good 'growing' time in our lives. And we really do have a wonderful church family!! Great TT ~ thanks for sharing!!
