Each entry (I did not count, but I estimate that there are about 75) begins with a Bible version "translated" into the language of texting. For example, Thn cll & I will answr; or lt me spk thn rply 2 me represents Then call, and I will answer; or let me speak, then reply to me (Job 13:22, NASB). Whether this is an irreverent gimmick or a clever hook, I'll let you decide.
The verse is followed by a personal story (about one page long), a very short prayer (one or two sentences), text helps (a few Bible verses that relate to the story), and a space for the reader to write a short response to God. Each entry ends with an "LOL," a short, amusing anecdote that may or may not be related to the story.
Clearly, the devotions in LOL with God are not the deepest, most serious ones I've read. But I think they work, and I like them.
