Help Flood Victims in Pakistan

Do you want to help provide relief to Pakistanis victimized by the recent flooding?

According to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), one-fifth of Pakistanis are under water and the threat of disease now looms for 20 million affected people.

What has already been done?  UNHCR teams in Pakistan have provided shelter and other emergency supplies to millions of people caught up in the disaster.  But with nearly 20 million people estimated to have been affected, the needs of the victims are outpacing the ability of humanitarian organizations to provide assistance.

So what can you do to help?  Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie is asking readers to take a second today and donate $10 by texting the word SWAT to 50555.*

For more information, visit UNHCR on Facebook or watch this video on YouTube.

*$10 dollars will be added to your phone bill/deducted from your prepaid account.  Message and data rates may apply.  Full terms:
