It's been a relatively busy, up and down kind of week. But there are many blessings, so I'd like to share just five of them.
- On Monday I started a new online Bible study with the ladies of At the Well. I really enjoyed reading what Gina wrote, then visiting other blogs to see how each of us had a different perspective and insight on the topic.
- Also on Monday, I actually finished everything on my to-do list. This happens rarely, so it's definitely going on the FFF list!
- On Tuesday, DH took Mooseman to the new Meadowlands Stadium to watch the Giants mini-camp practice. They had a great time, and I had the afternoon to myself ... so that was a blessing all around.
- The women's Bible study group at my church had an end-of-year brunch this week, and they invited all the ladies of the church. It was so good to spend time with friends, meet a few women I'd seen around but never met, worship together, and listen to an interesting speaker.
- Although my depression has been showing its ugly face again, the Lord has been giving me the endurance to get through it. He has done this through His Word and also through people that He has placed in my life. I'm so grateful to know that I'm not walking alone!
I am glad that you have felt the Lord's presence even through your depression. I will include you in my prayers this morning.
ReplyDeleteI am glad things are going better. I cling to Is. 49:15 in times of trouble. JDaniel has had tantrum lately that lead me back to my favortie verses while he is in time out.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have gotten lots of things accomplished this week, even with your trial. Are you feeling any better?
ReplyDeleteJust keep your head up!
ReplyDeleteGlad you finished your to-do list..
that NEVER happens to me!
I find some way to procrastinate!
I will be thinking of you...
You can beat this...
You have lots of people in your corner and praying for you!
I'm so glad you're in such a great group that can give you so much lift up :)!
ReplyDeleteThe brunch sounds like fun I love getting together with ladies and just relaxing with of course good food :).
I'm there sweetie if you need an ear :)
It’s so refreshing to do a study with other ladies to get other perspectives. Glad yours is off to a good start. I rarely complete my to-do list either! I usually just shift things into the next day or week. Ha. I pray that your depression won’t take hold. I’ve been fighting against it myself the past few months. It hasn’t sunk its teeth in fully though, and for that I am grateful. One day at a time, right? Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting about the Bible study as it is a new to me study. Right now we don't have a ladies Bible study at church, so maybe I'll read along with y'all.
ReplyDeleteI just jumped over to At the Well, and it looks great. I'm going to go back! Time in the Word and with His people helps me keep my head above water.
ReplyDeleteOh, if I could finish everything on my list...!
Hope you have a great weekend and week -- praying for you.
I love ladies luncheons so that would be a fav in my week as well.
ReplyDeleteHard times do come, but its wonderful to know that God is with us in those moments.
Praying right now that God will guard your heart and mind and that joy will come your way.
ReplyDeleteMay the Lord uphold you and carry you through.
ReplyDeleteThat online bible study sounds interesting. And I love a ladies luncheon with worship and fellowship! It's always nice to meet new people in a smaller setting.
Melissa, it's great that you had some wonderful get togethers and personal accomplishments (that to-do-list!). Praying that God will lift your depression and blesses you with peace.
ReplyDeleteBeing part of a group really helps to restore spirit, for me. I'm glad you find some pleasant moments.
ReplyDeleteFinishing the to-do list is something to celebrate! You've had a great week of fellowship and that has helped to sustain you in difficulty. Hang in there!
