Friday's Fave Five

FFF logo

The week hasn't been without its ups and downs, but I had enough ups that I had to trim the list to five favorites.
  1. This week I had reason, yet again, to thank God for bringing us to a wonderful church family.  We've been here for a few years now, but I still marvel at the blessing.
  2. My husband received some good news at work this week.  Thank God for His provision!
  3. Our daffodils are blooming.  The bright yellow flowers make me smile.
  4. This week a friend encouraged me, helped me remember what I like best about blogging, and sent me a funny email message. I'm so thankful for good friends, as well as the opportunity to be a good friend.
  5. Sunday is my favorite holiday:  Resurrection Sunday.  Even though it's been years since I came to know Christ in a personal way, I still can't think of His sacrifice on the cross without getting emotional.  The gift that He has given me has changed my life in a way that nothing else ever has, or ever could.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!

  1. I love that song too! And I love celebrating Jesus' resurrection! Such a wonderful reminder of everything Jesus has done for us!

    Have a wonderful Easter!

  2. That is one of my favorite songs! I hope you have a lovely Easter with your family!

  3. If you have to trim your list, it's been an awesome week. Glad you had one.

Good news at work these days is another awesome.

And yes, because He lives. Love the song and especially the truth. Happy Easter!

  4. I’ve had lots of ups and downs this week, too. Glad to take time on Friday’s to start counting those “up’s.” It is a blessing to have a wonderful church family. I have one, too. Daffodils are great smile-starters, huh? Easter is my favorite Holyday, too. Have a blessed one!

  5. A good church family is indeed something to be thankful for.

I love that song as well.

    Happy Friday :)

  6. I think it's especially precious when you can think of five things to be thankful for in a difficult week. Thank you for sharing these ups.

  7. What a fabulous song! I too am an oldy in the Lord, but it still gets to me as well. It sounds like that Lord has blessed you with many precious things, or I guess I should say people. :)

  8. You make me cry, exactly what I needed! many blessings to you too sweetie!

  9. As always, love your list...
and that song makes me hear my Mema singing in my head! thanks...
