Should We Fire God? (Book Review)

In the days and months following the tragic shootings at Virginia Tech, Pastor Jim Pace found himself feeling like a press secretary for God.  The inevitable questions, such as Why does God allow this to happen?, were repeatedly asked of him.  In Should We Fire God? he explains why God allows us to suffer.

By sharing accounts from his own life as well as examples from the Bible, the author shows how God has been working since the beginning of time.  He points out just how much God loves us, explains why He allows us to suffer, and reminds us that God suffers along with us.  Finally, he shares his wisdom on how to find hope when we don't understand why we're facing certain challenges.

Should We Fire God? is written in a conversational tone, and each chapter ends with several questions for reflection or discussion.  It's suitable for Christians, seekers, and doubters ... anyone who is wondering about why God allows suffering and disasters in this world.

Should We Fire God? is published by FaithWords and will be released in April 2010.
