It's Wednesday, and I still feel as though I'm in catch-up mode this week. I did manage to put together a menu plan, so at least we're not starving. :) And I made time yesterday to read, to put four miles on the stationary bike, and to get a little rest. So I'm behind schedule, but I'm staying sane. As sane as usual, anyway.
I decided to try the Starbucks Caffe Verona (from the BzzAgent kit I received on Saturday) this morning. The package directions say to use two tablespoons of coffee per six ounces of water, so I did. I have a feeling that I'll be scraping myself off the ceiling, because this coffee is twice as concentrated as what I usually make.
Although I usually drink coffee with plenty of milk, I wanted to try this straight. No milk, no sugar, no cinnamon. Well ... hmmm ... I'll agree with the package description of BOLD. The dark-roasted flavor is too powerful for my taste. I liked it better after I added milk, but I don't think I'd choose this blend in the future.
But that brings me to another point: The Starbucks Caffe Verona that I received is a 5-ounce "Intro Size" package. I don't know how they're priced in stores, but it seems like a convenient way to try new flavors. (My ShopRite supermarket doesn't carry the Intro Size packages, but the 12-ounce bags of Starbucks coffee are on sale this week for $6.99.)
Disclosure: Through BzzAgent, I received samples of Starbucks coffee, at no cost to me, for review purposes.
Target has a coupon online right now for a dollar or so off a bag of SB coffee. I used mine this morning. :)
