Gonto Bags - Review

When I saw the gonto bag online, I thought it looked very handy. My family carries a duffel bag for day trips, on vacation, and to the pool. We've had bags that literally fell apart. After seeing and touching the gonto bag, I'm confident that this bag is going to last a long time!

The gonto bag is available in two sizes--large (8.5 x 8.5 x 18 inches) and X-large (10.5 x 10.5 x 23 inches)--and eight styles (different colors and fabrics including cotton duck, nylon, and corduroy). It's a square-bottom bag with a drawstring closure and several useful pockets.

But the gonto bag is not like any other bag I've seen. As I unwrapped the package and looked at the bag, I kept saying, "Oh, how neat!" and "Cool!" The gonto bag has two outer pockets, one with a zipper and one with a Velcro closure. Inside the bag is a deep pocket that's big enough to hold a water bottle. The wide nylon strap is adjustable and long enough to sling the bag over a shoulder.

This bag looks seriously durable. The fabric is sturdy and the stitching on the seams is strong. The insert that forms the square bottom is plastic, not cardboard. The D-ring that attaches the strap is heavy-duty and I have no doubt that it will be strong enough for hanging the bag on a hook. Even the drawstring looks strong. (I can't stand drawstrings that break and retract to a place where you can't get them out.)

The gonto bag will be terrific for everything from day trips to overnights at Grandma's house.
