Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters - Review (Giveaway Closed)

Thanks to MyBlogSpark, my family and I had a chance to try Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters, described by the manufacturer as "a bite size blend of 100% natural ingredients that include select roasted nuts, whole grain oats and a touch of honey."

We sampled all four varieties: Roasted Cashew, Nut Lovers, Roasted Almond, and Honey Roasted Peanut. They all have a combination of sweet and salty flavors, and the bite-size pieces are fun and convenient.

Our least favorite flavor was Nut Lovers. The combination of nut flavors meant that none of the individual flavors really came through. It was fine, just not our favorite.

My son liked Roasted Cashew the most, but wished that it had more cashews. I also noticed that it seemed saltier than the other varieties. Its 200 mg sodium per serving is the highest of the varieties.

I liked Honey Roasted Peanut, which tastes very much like honey roasted peanuts. This variety seems to have a higher proportion of nuts to granola than the other varities. My husband found this too sweet, but, then, he's not really a fan of anything honey-roasted. My son thought that it was not overly sweet, but he preferred Roasted Cashew.

My husband and I both enjoyed Roasted Almond the most. It seemed to have the clearest nut flavor, and we like the blend of almonds and granola.

Consumers with food allergies should note that all of the varieties contain peanut, cashew, pecan, soy, and almond ingredients. Nut flour (pecan, cashew, peanut) probably accounts for some of this.
