Menu Plan - Week of September 21

I did a bit of juggling with last week's menu, and will probably have to do that again in the upcoming week. With that in mind, I'm planning a flexible menu instead of assigning a specific meal to each day. We'll have to "wing it" for one day, so I've only planned for four dinners instead of five.

  • Super Easy pork chops (in the slow cooker - I increased the garlic but forgot to decrease the soy sauce), rice, sugar snap peas
  • Roast chicken, vegetable/bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, baked apples
  • Hamburgers, oven fries, steamed broccoli
  • Chicken vegetable soup (made with the leftover roast chicken), sourdough bread

  1. Mmmm, the hamburgers and oven fries sound good to me. :) But then again, I could do with a bit of that chicken vegetable soup too. My husband won't eat soups, stews or chili in the summertime, but just the other day he said he was about getting ready for some. Yay! :)

  2. Menu looks good...this is my first time to participate in MPM, but I have been reading all of the blog posts about it for a while now. It's so much easier to know what you are going to make for dinner. I am hoping that this will help me to save some $$ too!

  3. Hi. This is my first visit to your blog. I just happened to find it. You sound a lot like me. Trying to feed everyone within a budget. Your menu sounds good! I love soups! I made Taco Soup tonight and it was wonderful!!!

I see that you are crafty. Do you sew any at all? I'm doing a give away on my blog-if you are interested I welcome you to check it out.

I'll be back to check out your blog again. I love reading about what others are doing to save money. :0)
