Lands' End FeelGood Campaign - How to Help

Lands' End is reaching out to help provide cold-weather clothing to the homeless and displaced. Individuals can help by making a purchase or by knitting a hat.

You can read more about the campaign here but I'll try to summarize:

How to help with a purchase: For every Lands' End FeelGood sweater purchased, the company will donate signature FeelGood yarn to One Heart Foundation's Warming Families, a nationwide knitting charity. Lands' End expects to donate thousands of pounds of yarn to the charity where volunteers plan to knit up to 25,000 hats and other items to warm the homeless and displaced.

How to help by knitting: If you knit, you can help by knitting a hat (or two) and sending them to a participating volunteer group in your area. You can find two exclusive patterns designed by Vickie Howell, and a link to a list of participating volunteer groups, here. In fact, if you follow the link for volunteer groups, you'll find the instructions to become an Area Volunteer, if that's something that interests you.

I'm not a knitter, but this instructional video makes me want to try!

Finally, if you enjoy Twitter parties, here's one that you won't want to miss:

Join Lands' End and Vickie Howell, host of TV's Knitty Gritty, for a Twitter Party to celebrate the kick-off the FeelGood Campaign! The party will feature more than 20 fun giveaways ranging from the FeelGood sweater and Vickie Howell's books to Lands' End gift cards and FeelGood yarn.

Date: Wednesday, September 16th
Time: 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. CST
Location: #landsend
