Bo's Cafe tells the story of high-powered executive Steven Kerner, who realizes that his life isn't as perfect it appears to be. He has anger issues and, as a result, his marriage is in shambles. One day--when he leaves work but doesn't want to go home--he meets Andy, an eccentric stranger who already seems to know Steven.
Through a series of conversations, Andy unwraps the protective layers in which Steven has surrounded himself. Gradually Steven gains trust in Andy and his group of friends. Over time, he discovers the source of his issues and begins to see the solution.
Authors Bill Thrall, Bruce McNicol, and John Lynch have crafted an inspiring story of grace, forgiveness, and the transforming power of God. Without diminishing that power, the story is also realistic: even after we give our hearts to God, we aren't perfect. While we seek to be increasingly like Jesus, we still stumble.
Interesting, believable characters and their multi-faceted relationships added to my enjoyment of this book. I recommend Bo's Cafe.
