Wanchai Ferry Entrees - Review and Giveaway (Closed)

Thanks to MyBlogSpark, my family had a chance to try one of the new Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees. Of the five flavors (Orange Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and Sweet & Spicy Shrimp), we decided to go with Orange Chicken.

My son and I prepared this meal for lunch one day. We liked the combination of veggies: carrots, broccoli, and baby corn. The rice was perfectly cooked--better than what I cook in a saucepan! The sauce is on the salty side, but no more so than most restaurant food; in addition, the Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees contain no added MSG, which is a plus.

This was a fun change of pace for us. It's quick to prepare (takes about 14 minutes) and, at about $8.99 for two servings, it costs less than half as much as going out for lunch. To save even more, right now you can print a $1.50 coupon here.

MyBlogSpark would like to give one Frugal Creativity reader the chance to win a Wanchai Ferry "Stay-At-Home" prize pack that includes two coupons as well as some great Asian inspired rice bowls, chopsticks, and bamboo placemats.

  10. I had one that was something to the effects of "You'll change location within the year" which sounded great because we really wanted to find jobs in another town and move out of state. Unfortunately, that was well over a year ago and nothing's changed. *sigh*
